XPE is responsible for delivering industry-leading GPU (3D, Media, Compute, and Display) hardware, intellectual property (IP) blocks and system-on-chip (SoC) products for discrete graphics and throughput computing. As a GPU Verification Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:  

  •  Define, develop, and perform functional validation for GPUs, focusing on validation of interaction of GPUs, media, display and system level features.

  •  Apply various hardware and software level tools and techniques to ensure validation coverage and that performance, power, and area goals are met.

  • Review proposed design changes to assess impact on validation plans, tasks, and timelines.

  • Develop GPU validation methodologies, execute validation plans, and collaborate with other engineers for design optimization, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.

  • Perform silicon debug to identify root causes and resolve all functional and triage failures for GPU issues.

  • Test interactions between various GPU features using validation infrastructure.

  • Develop post-silicon validation infrastructure (e.g., performance monitors, behavioral checkers, state space coverage) and test environment used in validation testing.

  • Publish GPU validation reports summarizing all validation activities performed, review results, and communicate to relevant teams.

  • Work with architecture, design, verification, board, platform, and manufacturing teams to maintain and improve debug, validation test strategy, methodologies, and processes for graphics interfaces and to meet desired product specifications.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum skills and experience that will get you noticed: 

 

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM degree and 5+ years of industry experience


-OR- Masters Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM degree and 4+ years of industry experience


Candidate must have 3+ years of experience with at any of the following:

  •  Computer Architecture Knowledge and Microarchitecture Fundamentals

  •  GPU architecture and functional testing.

  •  Post-silicon Validation techniques, tools and debug.

  •  IP Test Writing and Test Plans

  • Software programming in C/C++ and/or scripting (such as PythonSV)

  • Validation Protocols and Strategy Development

 

 Preferred skills and experience that will make you stand out

  • Familiarity with PCIe standards and compliance requirements

  • Deep understanding on HW/FW flows

  • Experience and hands on skills with LTB, ITP, Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Scan dumps, and in-circuit Emulators

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:
