The Senior Business Reporting Analyst works closely with other Intermountain Business Analysts, subject matter experts, and external entities to improve the structure and operations of enterprise-wide functional areas utilizing existing business applications solutions and working knowledge in area of expertise. The Senior Business Reporting Analyst is responsible for collaborating with his/her functional teams in all aspects of business applications, including but not limited to planning, analysis, designing, building, testing, deploying and supporting system.ScopeThe Senior Business Reporting Analyst is part of a centralized, system wide business applications team responsible for overall production, configuration, and support for enterprise-wide application in their area of accountability.Job Essentials1. Provides day-to-day operational maintenance and support to functional users and employees in the MSO, Finance, and Network Teams. Performs operations systems tasks and maintenance as assigned. Participates in process consultations.2. Performs troubleshooting of complex issues related to system functionality and data integrity. Surfaces process improvements with operations and/or system configuration or enhancement improvements to resolve complex issues based on end user interactions, analysis of data, and working knowledge in area of expertise.3. Responsible for testing and deployment, including but not limited to patch or service pack testing, defect research, general testing, and deployment support. Follows standard testing methodologies. Provides high quality documentation related to new or modified system configuration.4. Responsible for change management and security management including FRC support, RFC review, and support of DSA responsibilities, or other duties related to system change management and security management. May act as DSA for systems within their area of accountability.5. Responsible for development of medium complex ad-hoc queries and data analysis. May be involved in more complex query development with supervision.6. Responsible for new development of medium complex reports or dashboards utilizing report and dashboard tools in existing applications. May be involved in more complex report or dashboard development with supervision.7. Develops high quality business applications documentation and training materials to assist with system training to end-users. Trains operation trainers or super users on system related functionality.8. Consults and actively works with business areas and project teams to assess needs for the various business functions. Interprets policies, procedures, and applicable laws, and translates business functional requirements, policy, procedures, and laws into functional design documents adhering to industry best practice, regulations, and industry and institutional controls. Works with IT counterparts to create technical design documentation. Executes on system and process solutions benefiting Intermountain caregivers and patients.9. Recommends policy and procedure changes to correlate with industry best practice.10. Manages medium projects utilizing standard business process design, including but not limited to creation of timelines, dependencies, defining deliverables, performing cost benefit analysis, gap fit analysis, industry analysis and trends, testing, and deployment. Follows standard project management methodologies. May be involved in more complex projects with supervision.11. Shares important and relevant information with the team. Proactively offers suggestions, provides resources, volunteers for assignments, and removes barriers to help the team accomplish its goals.12. Is actively involved in industry forums and user groups and surfaces industry trends and best practices for system and operational roadmap considerations.13. Has a working knowledge of medical claims and their processing.Minimum QualificationsActively working towards a bachelor's degree with six years of related professional experience. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.- or -Bachelor's degree with four years of experience working within related area,- or -Masters degree with two years of professional work experience,- and -Experience in a role requiring proficiency at solving complex problems and demonstrated ability to think and plan on a broad level and also able to process information and details on a tactical level.- and -Demonstrated intermediate SQL or comparable query language.- and -Experience in interpretation of data from multiple data sources and multiple data structures.- and -Experience in a role requiring effective communication of business concepts to technical and non-technical personnel and bringing order to ideas and processes.- and -Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet, and e-mail.- and -Experience in a role requiring effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.Demonstrated knowledge of related professional experience through certification such as Certified Public Accountant, Professional Business Analyst.Experience with hands-on application management, design, configuration, maintenance and support for systems.- and -ERP, HR, Budgeting, BI, or Payroll implementation experience.- and -Experience and knowledge of the Healthcare Industry.- and -Experience implementing a system or has been responsible for successful implementation or evolution of an existing system.- and -Experience implementing a finance or supply chain system or has been responsible for successful implementation and/or evolution of an existing system.- and -Proficiency with SQL and/or Microsoft Access.Physical Requirements:Interact with others requiring the employee to communicate information.- and -Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.- and -See and read computer monitors and documents.- and -Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.Anticipated job posting close date:08/27/2024Location:Central Office - Las VegasWork City:Las VegasWork State:NevadaScheduled Weekly Hours:40The hourly range for this position is listed below.
