Position Overview:

We are looking for a self-motivated and creative Marketing Intern to join our growing global business this summer. If you’re someone who wants to build a career in social media, audience and content strategy and/or email marketing , then we want to work with you. Your work will include monitoring social media platforms, and programming content on webmd.com as well as in newsletters. A successful candidate will have good attention to detail and a “go-getter” attitude with a general understanding of data analysis, social media platforms, and marketing techniques. Must love being creative and writing – especially short, attention-grabbing copy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop copy for onsite, social, and newsletter promotions
  • Assess onsite audience engagement to help influence programming strategy
  • Assist with day-to-day site updates
  • Support social media posts creation and design
  • Assist with editorial newsletter production and email marketing campaigns
  • Help track, report, and analyze engagement and performance metrics
  • Create visually engaging presentations to showcase project performance

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3.2 GPA
  • Enrolled in Undergrad or Graduate program and returning for the Fall 2023 semester.
  • Major in Marketing, Communications, Journalism/Media or a similar field.
  • Strong knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms including Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok a plus.
  • Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel and/or Google Workspace
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and extremely organized.
  • Receptive to feedback and a passion for marketing and/or healthcare.
    • Graphic design experience is a plus, but not required!
Compensation:
$18/hr.
