Intern - Narrative Design (Sept.-Dec. 2023)

Hasbro's Gaming organization is looking to add a creative and collaborative Narrative Design Intern to our rockstar team!

In this role, you would be tasked with crafting on-brand copy as part of the Gaming Product Design team, working across the games portfolio. You would work with an outstanding cross-functional team of Graphic Designers, Game Designers, Engineers, Project Managers and Marketers to bring new, exciting games to market.

We hope to add a member to our team who loves games as much as we do!


A day in the life of a Narrative Designer

  • Develop themes, story, and tone to drive narrative-based game experiences
  • Build compelling and on-brand packaging copy, including names and taglines
  • Collaborate with Game Designers to develop, test, and refine gameplay and then craft accurate, accessible game rules and reference material
  • Create humorous, consumer-centric card content, including researching and managing editorial and legal/PR review
  • Collaborate with graphic designers to produce on-trend, on-brand packaging, unboxing experiences, and communication
  • Be an active, creative member of a cross-functional team, participating in product brainstorms, approval meetings, and status meetings
  • Be prepared for the unexpected, have fun every day, and of course, play lots of games!


What you’ll bring

  • Must be a current undergraduate student. Students graduating in 2023 are not eligible
  • Completion of at least one year of study within English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Communications, or a similar program
  • Technical and editorial skills
  • The aptitude and flexibility to pivot quickly in a fast-paced, collaborative, lively environment
  • The ability to work independently or collaboratively
  • Proven time/project management skills with ability to multi-task
  • Curiosity and a motivation to learn
  • A love of games


Requirements:

  • Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student. Students graduating in or before July 2023 are not eligible for fall 2023 co-ops
  • Must be available to work full-time (40 hrs/wk) as a co-op from September-December 2023
  • Must commute to the Pawtucket, RI office and successfully work a hybrid model, with at least 3 days in office
  • Candidates are responsible for their own housing & transportation (free parking). Hasbro headquarters are in Pawtucket, RI, 6.5 miles from the Attleboro, MA commuter rail station. We offer shuttle service to/from the office/commuter rail station
