Position Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Tobacco Control Research group is working on a project in partnership with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) to understand tobacco use behaviors and related policy and policy support among individuals living in the 13 states in the US with the highest rates of tobacco use (Project 1350). Interns would gain skills and provide support related to data management, data analyses, and assistance with literature reviews. This project provides an opportunity to be involved in developing research and policy priorities that would help reduce the burden of cancer by 50% by 2050 focusing on these 13 high risk states.
The intern will have the opportunity to participate in project development and implementation related to tobacco control research as described above, learn skills for scientific research by conducting data analyses, present analytical results to both internal and external collaborators, contribute to drafting research proposals and manuscripts, and perform other scientific activities under the supervision of senior researchers.
