This is a unique, busy and adventurous position for someone that’s looking for freedom and structure in their work. Being organized, detailed and responsible influences every aspect of this position, from marketing, recruiting, traveling and presenting to so many. Organize your day/schedule in a way to accomplish the events, conferences, travel and etc. that works for you, so you can juggle it all while still hitting deadlines, responding to emails, and getting all your confirmation settled. Summary of Responsibilities
Recruits prospective international students from a set global territory that is primarily outside of the United States. In addition, serves as the lead recruiter for certain schools.

Essential Functions
Recruits students primarily outside of the United States in designated schools and geographic countries and/or regions, which includes follow-up with recruits by phone, mail and other personal communications streams.
Develops and implements recruitment programming for students, parents, and counselors. Works with campus departments to coordinate recruitment programs.
Represents the University at specified schools, college and community fairs, public presentations, and/or seminars outside of the normal recruitment territory. Contributes to overall recruitment efforts for the University, particularly in areas outside of direct responsibility.
Participates in on and off campus recruitment programs, including group presentations; greets walk-in and scheduled visitors; maintains knowledge of all facets of the University. Markets scholarships and participates in selection process when appropriate.
Provides detailed travel reports that assist with the strategic and budget planning of the international program and visit expenditures.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree in education, business or related field by hire date

Minimum Experience

One (1) year of experience in recruiting, admissions or related field



Preferred Experience
  • Two years of experience working with international students
  • Experience traveling internationally and the added aspects involved

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Applied knowledge of recruiting &/or admissions for higher education, including international recruiting.
  • Evidence of excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel all over the U.S. or internationally, when permissible. (sometimes for days/weeks at a time).
  • Capable of working independently without significant supervision.
  • Ability to work occasional adjusted scheduling to accommodate recruiting events.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, friendly and approachable personality, with cheerful disposition.
  • Capable of speaking another language to some extent.

Valid Kansas drivers license
Possesses or eligible for travel passport
