International Tax Senior / Supervisor

Berdon LLP a top CPA and Advisory firm is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic professional to join our International tax team as a Senior Tax Associate.

Berdon operates in a unique, highly collaborative environment and as Senior Tax Associate, you will interact with colleagues at all levels. The ideal candidate should have experience in US oriented international tax matters, with an emphasis on inbound foreign investment, both institutional and private, but exposure to outbound foreign investment as well as issues affecting individuals and families.

Essential Functions:

• Assist with a diverse but internationally oriented client portfolio, inclusive of tax planning and compliance and transaction structuring services
• Prepare tax returns for more complex individual, trust, partnership, corporate and foreign tax clients.
• Check tax returns prepared by assigned Tax staff and make necessary recommendations regarding accuracy, efficiency and applicable tax savings opportunities.
• Gain continuous level of increased compliance responsibility in the review process.
• Research and consult with Supervisors and above on various client-related tax matters.
• Ability to oversee, train and coach other tax associates and interns on assignments and assess their performance.
• Function as lead individual contributor on various projects as appropriate.

Qualifications

• An undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or law
• CPA, MS in Taxation and/or LLM preferred (or in process)
• 3+ years of public tax accounting experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of CCH Axcess, a plus.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000
