Position Description

A Data Analyst summer internship is available immediately. As a member of the Product Support Group, you will work on deriving actionable insight from a variety of data sources related to the NeuMoDx Molecular System and improving RnD department efficiency by automating repetitive analysis tasks through the development of simple data analysis tools.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, a functional understanding of Molecular Biology and a natural interest in automating data analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform data analysis to support complaint investigation and RnD activities.
  • Track NeuMoDx system usage in the RnD lab to establish RnD KPIs.
  • Use NeuMoDx Software to reprocess raw data to assess potential impact of cutoff threshold modification.
  • Develop dashboard/tools to automate activities listed above.

Position Requirements

  • Active participation in B.S or M.S. in Bioinformatics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Molecular Biology, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Python with a demonstrated experience in data analysis, visualization, and computing libraries (i.e., Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, NumPy).
  • Strong proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite for data analysis and presentation; basic statistics knowledge is highly desired.
  • Good documentation practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced multidisciplinary setting.
