Senior Associate, M&A Advisory

Interpath is a financial advisory business with a broad range of specialisms that was formed to allow our people to do what they do best in an agile, independent, and conflict-free setting.  We help our clients create, defend, preserve, sustain, and grow value through the cycle, from regional SMEs all the way up to large, complex multi-national organisations. 

Our three business divisions are Deals, Advisory, and Restructuring services. Our Corporate Finance business forms part of Deals alongside: Transaction Services, Valuations, Debt Advisory, Tax, and Pensions services.   

Deals is the fastest growing segment of Interpath as we continue to take market share from leading accounting firms, boutiques, and banks.  Strategically, our Corporate Finance business is focused on transaction which are £20m to £200m of Enterprise Value and we serve the owner managed, corporate, and Private Equity markets.  

We pride ourselves in being highly responsive to our clients, providing outstanding advice, and working as a seamless, cross service-line team where beneficial to our clients.  

We are seeking to grow further our Corporate Finance business, particularly to build sector strength.

As a Senior Associate in our Corporate Finance (M&A) Advisory team, supporting those transactions for our clients. The ideal candidate will have an understanding & experience of the M&A process, financial analysis and deal structuring.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business objectives and advising on their M&A strategies. 
  • Support the project lead for clients throughout the M&A process, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and delivery of exceptional outcomes. 
  • Support key transaction workstreams including deal sourcing, due diligence, financial modelling, valuation, negotiations, and client risk management. 
  • Ensuring appropriate collaboration with our other service lines to maximise the opportunity with any given client. 
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting professional development and growth within the team.
  • Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes affecting M&A transactions. 
  • ACA, ACCA, or CFA or qualified with a minimum 3 year’s experience in financial or advisory institutions.  
  • Ideally 1 years of direct M&A transactions experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Execution experience on sector leading transactions 
  • Supporting new routes to market and group marketing and key account management 
  • A strong work ethic, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
