516 | Backend Developer (with cryptocurrency exchange experience)

Responsibilities

• Writing low-latency financial software, including order book matching engines, trading engines, and REST and WebSocket API endpoints.
• Building high-performance REST and WebSocket APIs to power our frontend application and support programmatic traders.
• Developing open-source TypeScript clients for users to interact with our on-chain smart contracts.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to create the best overall product.
• Leading frontend and backend teams to ensure cohesion and efficiency in development processes.

• Proven experience as a software developer: 3+ years of full-time development experience.
• Technical proficiency: Safe, efficient, and high-quality coding with a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals.
• Experience with: JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, WebSockets, Docker.
• Blockchain experience: Experience with cryptocurrency exchanges is required.
• Quick learning ability: Capability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
• Leadership skills: Ability to effectively lead both frontend and backend teams.

• Experience working on high-quality products in finance or security.
• Skills in building web services, SQL, CSS, React, Redux.
• Strong interest in decentralized finance.
• Experience building DEX Perp applications and smart contracts.
