SAP FICO Consultant (US Citizen or Perm Resident req)
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist in the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the SAP FICO modules. Here are some common duties and responsibilities for this role. SAP Skills
- 2-4 years of experience in one or more ERP systems
- At least one full life-cycle implementation project (from Blueprint/Explore through Go-Live).
- Understanding of SAP Activate Methodology.
- Ability to use Service Marketplace to create tickets, research notes and review release notes.
SAP Finance Skills
- Minimum of 1.5 years project and delivery experience in one or more finance modules, preferably in the public sector areas of higher education or state and local government
- Minimum of 1 full life cycle finance implementation
- Minimum of 1 year SAP ECC or S/4 experience
- Accountable for the successful implementation of assigned SAP finance module(s) with integration to the FICO, Funds Management and Grants Management modules
- Serve as subject matter expert of the assigned module(s)
- Leads workshops with customers to demonstrate and explain module functionality and best practice processes.
- Assists customers improve business processes and documents changes required to SAP configuration settings to implement redesigned business processes.
- Develops to-be design documentation for master data and process designs.
- Performs SAP configuration settings and updates as required.
- Conducts unit testing of standard transactions and applications.
- Develops functional specifications for Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Data Conversions, Enhancements and Forms.
- Coordinates with technical developers to review specifications with customers, explain the design and obtain approval of specifications.
- Assists developers by responding to questions and clarifications.
- Assists customer with the development of test cases, test scripts and test plans.
- Assists customer in performing integration and acceptance testing.
- Resolves defects and issues identified by customer in integration testing.
- Assists training developers by providing conceptual content, exercise content and demonstration content. Reviews training materials for correct representation of SAP functionality.
- Executes data conversions and provides data validation assistance to customer.
- Assists customers with anticipating, identifying and resolving post go-live issues.
- Updates all design, configuration and specification documentation and conducts a documentation walkthrough with customer.
- Provides knowledge transfer to customer throughout the project.
- Responsible for the management of module scope.
- Identifies and logs issues and risks.
- Establishes clear expectations regarding status reporting, team communication and deliverable management.

- Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
