Chatters, proudly Canadian owned with over 115 locations and growing, has an immediate opening for an Inventory Analyst to join our dynamic team.
The Inventory Analyst is responsible for the allocation of merchandise to the stores, inventory analysis and purchase orders. The Inventory Analyst will work cross functional with the Merchants, Planning and Store Operations to ensure that the stores have an optimal product mix to maximize sales.
This position will report into our Director of Merchandise Operations and Allocations and will be based out of our Head Office in the Greater Toronto Area, ON. A little about the role responsibilities:
Analyze sales and inventory data to make informed decisions regarding replenishment of items at the store level
Analyze and make recommendations to optimize and control inventory levels while meeting business requirements
Design and develop monthly reporting of KPIs and daily activities
Working closely with the planning team to ensure that inventory levels are maintained to achieve sales targets
Monitor purchase orders: ensuring salon credits, supplier credits, and inventory records are reconciled.
Lead effective solutions and procedures to ensure continuous improvement and the optimal performance targets are achieved
Initiative to see beyond the day-to-day business and seek opportunities to maximize the sales potential
Establish and maintain significant cross-functional relationships with buying team, distribution center, store operations and other departments.
Assist and support senior management in implementing the company vision and goals through execution of inventory management transactions and processes.
A little about you:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or post-secondary education or equivalent experience relating to inventory management.
Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory management or a similar discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience with MRP systems (ideally Navision and AIMs or another large scale MRP system)
Minimum 5 years experience in retail allocation.
Experience in generating reports related to inventory variance, turn over, returns etc.
Distribution Retail and/or Beauty Industry experience preferred.
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills; team building skills.
Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational, time management and planning skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Strong problem-solving skills and sound decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
Working knowledge of working in an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, JDE, Navision, AIMs).
