Inventory Control Clerk

General Summary

Maintains inventory accuracy in verifying, keeping records on incoming and outgoing inventory as well as production batch records. Ability to recall protocol and auditing guidelines.

Job Specifications
Responsible for the accuracy inventory through the system and physically supporting through the cycles counts program.
Maintain ERP accuracy, closing batch tickets in 24 hours or less after these are made.
Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of warehouse locations working in a teamwork atmosphere with FONA.
Participates in assisting the planning and decision-making regarding upgrades to the ERP system and process improvements for the team.
Tracking the transitional locations to maintain the inventory accuracy.
Print labels for finish products and maintain update the data for especial label requirements.
Communicates daily with Production, Quality Control and Customer Service regarding status of pending inventory variances.
Responsible for coordination of transfer of inventory to other areas of the plant by performing the correct transactions physically and through the systems.
Accurately track raw materials and finished goods that are held for disposition by Quality Control.
Responsible for displaying safe behavior in warehouse/production.
Thoroughly understands material and equipment hazards and performs all duties in a safe manner using appropriate personal protective equipment.
Ability to solve practical problems in a variety of situations that are not standardized.

Position Scope:
Employees works in the Inventory Control Department.
Working Conditions
Employee may need to occasionally move up to 100 pounds using proper equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. Ability to determine space requirements for storage of stock and determine shelf capacities.

Must understand material and equipment hazards and perform duties in a safe manner utilizing recognized safe practices and/or appropriate personal protective equipment.
