As an integral part of the Operations & Sales Team, the Inventory Control Coordinator will make sure this division of our warehouse has all the products, materials, equipment and supplies we need to operate efficiently and effectively aligning with established policies and standards in a warehouse setting. They will also oversee inventory management processes, resolve any issues that arise, and keep track of all movement in our proprietary software.
This position requires heavy lifting of packages weighing up to 50#, utilizing inventory shelving throughout the day, and being your feet most of the day.
- Responsibilities Deliver/retrieve inventory including restock and emergency runs to the appropriate facility accurately and safely.
- Coordinate with Sales to make sure surgery requisitions are submitted timely and accurately to ensure fulfillment and delivery of product.
- Uses Inventory systems such as SMS, ZSIS, DCS, Fed-ex programs to loan, receive, ship, issue and monitor inventory.
- Exchange and return expired products. Bill and restock inventory for surgical cases.
- Boxing, packing, labeling, shipping instruments, and using shipping programs as needed.
- Maintain inventory of surgical kits.
- Always maintain the status of inventory with ability to provide updates.
- Manages product returns and processes worn instrument returns.
- Accepts ownership/responsibility for tasks and following directions closely.
- Develops and enhances product knowledge through training, webinars, learning modules, interaction and partnership, etc., as needed.

- Must possess excellent telephone etiquette and a high degree of professionalism
- Must be skilled in verbal and written communication techniques including email and texting etiquette .
- Organizational and time management skills are essential.
- Tech skills a must when using proprietary software,
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, and inventory systems used by Zimmer Biomet.
- Ability to manipulate and analyze data to improve inventory mix.
- Demonstrated knowledge to identify Zimmer Biomet product by major product groupings and familiarity with product lines of other divisions.
- Participation in occasional 24 hour “on-call” emergency situations as needed.
- HS Diploma, G.E.D. equivalent, or equivalent experience required. (Associate's or bachelor’s degree Preferred.)
- Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, Engineering, or another technical field preferred.
- Frequent lifting required.
- Must be able to lift as much as 50 pounds without assistance.
- May require vendor credentialing.
