Inventory Control Specialist Temp

We are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to serve in a temp-to-hire capacity. In this position, you will accurately maintain and control company inventory by means of ERP, cycle counts, material movements, temperature condition, expiry, FIFO, Kanban and work orders across multiple locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain consistent and accurate stock of inventory, working with Planning and Procurement for replenishment to meet the needs of the business
• Ties, reconciles and makes inventory adjustments in ERP system as needed to maintain physical material alignment
• Conduct regular cycle counts, full and partial audits of physical inventory
• Establish, maintain and improve controls for physical inventory access and movements
• Provides metrics and KPI's related to inventory such as turns, carrying cost of inventory, etc.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree and three plus years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience
• NetSuite preferred, ERP and WMS system experience preferred
• Experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical/laboratory environment, temperature controlled and chemical materials experience preferred
• 3+ years of relevant experience in Inventory Control, Inventory Management, Materials Management, Warehouse/Distribution required
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., with or without assistance
• Ability to climb, push, pull, stoop, grasp, walk, sit, stand, bend and reach for the duration scheduled working hours
