Position Description:
The University of Louisville Audit Services Department is inviting applicants for the position of Investigative Staff Auditor.� If you are an individual who is skilled at investigating fraud, has strong interpersonal and communication skills, is honest and ethical with a high level of integrity and confidentiality then we welcome your application to join our team.
Under the supervision of the Director of Audit Services, the Investigative Staff Auditor is responsible for investigating reports of alleged fiscal misconduct, waste, or abuse as reported to Audit Services either directly or through the Compliance Hotline.� Key activities include collecting information, documenting all steps and conclusions, and drafting professional reports with recommendations.� The investigator will develop and monitor processes for identifying potential fraud, waste or abuse as time permits.� The position will work on a hybrid work schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities:-
Conduct objective, fair, thorough, unbiased, and timely investigations into allegations of fraud, waste, or abuse.

Review and research evidence, including physical documents and electronic records.

Conduct personal interviews with people of interest, witnesses, and subject matter experts.

Effectively communicate the results of the investigations through written reports with recommendations.�

Work with university counsel, institutional compliance, and university police as circumstances warrant.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
