Based in Letterkenny you will work with colleagues across the globe in the UK, United States and Japan to support our Fixed income Investment teams.
If you have a degree in Accountancy/ Finance/ Economics/ Business or have worked in similar roles our growing team is looking for someone to join a supportive and hard-working department.
The Collateral Management team are responsible for operational support to the Fixed Income business providing services including monitoring counterparty exposure and collateral, performing position reconciliations, communicating on breaks with counterparties to drive resolution, and collaborating with internal Operations teams. You will be provided with robust formal and informal training to do this role from colleagues in both the US and Ireland.
Job responsibilities may include:
- Daily monitoring of counterparty exposure and resulting collateralization in accordance with our executed trading agreements (ex. ISDA/CSA).
- Verify, place/respond, and instruct upon daily collateral margin calls, including substitutions. Research and resolution of disputed items.
- Reconciliation of collateral trade and position details against broker records
- Assuming ownership for any operational issues that are raised and providing resolution in a manner that is seamless regardless of which operational issues are impacted.
- Proactively seeking ways to improve current processes by leveraging the tools available.
- Cultivating both internal and external relationships to ensure proper service levels are achieved and maintained for each fund supported.
- Keeping abreast of industry initiatives and market trends that can impact our business model and/or offer opportunities to improve our processes.
- Develop an understanding of the fixed income trading business and share knowledge with operations teams to increase service levels.
Requirements:
- Degree in Economics, Finance or Business preferred.
- Previous Fund/ Investment Operations experience a plus
- Willingness and desire to learn and teach others.
- Proven ability to develop and cultivate relationships across all staff levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of Excel and Outlook
- Able to multi-task and absorb information across a broad spectrum of products.
