Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Investment Reporting Analyst within our Investment Management Team!
About the role
As the Investment Reporting Analyst, you are a key participant in the Symetra Investment Management Co.’s (“SIM”) investment accounting close and reporting cycle. You’ll be an impactful member of our investment reporting team responsible for transforming large amounts of investment data and other information into presentations and tools that tell the story of our clients’ portfolios.
You will complete portfolio valuation, analyze company results for both internal and external parties, provide support to the investment front office and performance measurement team, and contribute to projects within the investment reporting department as needed. You understand the fundamentals of investment accounting and reporting requirements, with an ability and interest to take on complex tasks while continuously building your skills and knowledge. You have experience with BI tools or a willingness to learn new technology to provide additional insight for portfolio management teams and reporting. At times, the business may need additional hours of work outside of the norm to support initiatives, cyclical reporting and covering teammates, though overall you will experience great work-life balance with abundant flexibility.
SIM was established in 2019 and is a subsidiary of Symetra Financial Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Life of Japan. SIM is an SEC-registered investment advisor providing third party investment management to institutional clients.
