Job Description
Our candidate will be local to the Tampa, FL area.
The Investor Relations Intern will work closely with the Director of Investor Relations to support the quarterly earnings release process, investor outreach and marketing activities as well as Company, peer and industry analysis.
Responsibilities

• Assist in preparations for the 2023 Masonite Investor Day
• Assist in development of quarterly earnings materials, including press release, earnings call WebEx and Q&A document.
• Partner with functions outside of investor relations to research both financial and operational issues to develop concise external messaging.
• Develop and coordinate investor marketing activities, such as preparing presentations for bank conferences/non-deal roadshows/company events and assistance with event logistics.
• Analyze sell-side financial models; determine salient points from all research and provide executive summaries to management.
• Track peer/competitor releases, industry news and macro-economic data to develop understanding of current industry conditions and stay on top of market trends.
• Utilize third party software to develop investor targeting, prepare briefing books for management and track meetings.
• Work with outside service provider to maintain website.
• Prepare ad hoc research and work on special projects as assigned (e.g. ESG)

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent field or currently pursuing an MBA
• Interest and familiarity with general corporate finance functions and operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) as well as experience and/or desire to learn finance specific software (e.g. Bloomberg)
• Analytical aptitude and a basic understanding of financial markets and economics
• Self-starter capable of meeting deadlines and producing high quality work on a consistent basis
• Flexibility to work as part of a team as well as independently with limited direction or supervision
• Ability to collaborate across functional areas
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and project management skills
