We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with deep production support experience in both AWS and on-premises environments to join our newly created Service Consultant Sub-Practice and exclusively work with a mature and impactful long-term client in the financial services industry. 

The candidate will find themselves in a multitude of production support, and application review and validation situations with diverse teams and stakeholders across the client. They will need to operate without supervision, adapt to a variety of needs and situations, and exercise good judgement about next steps and communication needed. They will need to be comfortable working with roles ranging from analysts to senior management, and technical and business personnel alike.

• Work closely with product development teams to understand system behavior. 
• Monitoring and analysis, including development of dashboards and alerts relevant to the supported product. 
• Incident remediation: capture, assessment, escalation, communication, and resolution. 
• Production deployments and verification, development of runbooks and automation 
• Enable and support on-prem to cloud service migrations: have sufficient technical skill to review, deploy and operate the migrated application  

• Hands-on (7+ years) experience in production operational support of critical systems. 
• Proven experience in setting up DevOps infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, driving automated build management using GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, Sonar, Ansible Tower, Maven, Code Commit, Code Pipeline and Code build services. 
• Broad and deep technical experience, problem solving, and communication skills. 
• Respond to and resolve incidents for the on-prem solutions. 
• Facilitate development for the new cloud solutions for tasks such as data migration, analysis 
• Cloud operations experience, preferably in AWS 
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Splunk, Grafana, Cloudwatch, Github, Jenkins etc. 
• Experience with observability: analysis and triage of logs, traces, and metrics 
• Experience working in agile scrum PDLC 

• Java frameworks like Spring Boot and Quarkus 
• Python and shell scripting 
• Gitlab CI/CD 
• Experience with ServiceNow a plus.
