Insights Analyst

Overall job purpose:


Manage assigned reports of varying delivery frequencies ranging from data quality assurance, and report writing to client presentations. Produce carefully written and constructed reports that provide in-depth analysis of available data for better communications, marketing, and brand management. Confidently present reports on a periodic basis, and at times, analysis frameworks for pitches, in front of stakeholders and decision-makers. Manage projects effectively and maintain a consistent output of reports, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and keeping to strict client deadlines. Create analysis frameworks and briefs that match client interests and meet their objectives. Perform other duties assigned and support both the local and regional teams when required.

  • Proactively work to improve the format, style, and depth of analysis reports
  • Analyse data accurately using best practice methods
  • Provide high-level interpretation of data in report and presentations
  • Interpret and accurately meet the client’s brief. Employ appropriate methodology for analysis of data
  • Write findings in a coherent, structured and concise manner
  • Use effective and appropriate data visualisation
  • Provide excellent customer service to all clients by researching about client’s background and staying up-to-date with the current events within the client’s industry
  • Assist client-relationship building through excellent report services, presentations and client meeting (where appropriate)
  • Work independently, utilising company tools, but in close coordination with the relevant internal stakeholders, eg. Insights, Production, AMT, etc. to produce highly accurate and insightful reports
  • Manage analysis projects in order to meet committed report delivery deadlines and maximise revenue and account retention targets
  • A degree in Media/Communications or a degree with foundations in Statistics/Media Research/Market Research is desired
  • Data interpretation, excellent corporate writing, analytical ability, competent in/knowledge of research techniques, project management
  • At least 1 year of experience and good knowledge of the MY media landscape. Has genuine knowledge/interest in news and current affairs
  • Demonstrated capacity to excel in independent work settings.
  • Possessing experience in project management or leading small teams would be beneficial. Passionate about media analysis and research. Excellent team player. Client focused. Positive and proactive attitude. Solutions focused. Adaptable and open to change and innovation. High attention to detail. Able to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in GSuite, MS Office, and other analysis tools. Ability to adapt to new technology
  • English and mother-tongue proficiency. Proficiency in other languages (Chines) would be an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
