POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT Finance Manager will join as part of the Financial Planning & Analysis team and serve as liaison and finance business partner to senior stakeholders. This role will be supporting all teams within the IT organization and work directly with the Chief Technology Officer in particular. As such, the role will be responsible for all forecasting, reporting and analysis across IT and cover both operating and capital expenses. At the manager level, this role is also broadly charged with advancing existing reporting capabilities and processes, working collaboratively across the organization to solve problems and help drive process improvement and standardization within FP&A.

The position will report to and work closely with the Head of FP&A and will have opportunities to support highly visible initiatives that go beyond standard business stakeholder support. Initially an individual contributor with the plan to add direct report(s) 2H 2023 or 1H 2024.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the finance business partner to the IT organization, working closely with the CTO and all IT Business Unit Leaders
  • Provide standard monthly reporting and proactively evolve deliverables to meet the developing needs of the business
  • Deliver project reporting to provide insight into expenses relative to the project budget / SOW and emerging areas of risk or concern
  • Develop trend-based analysis to measure performance and provides valuable insight to the IT organization and firmwide leadership
  • Partner with stakeholders as questions arise to deliver ad-hoc analysis, business case modeling and strategic decision support
  • Support firmwide reporting initiatives with contribution to scenario analyses, board reporting and firmwide reporting
  • Leverage financial systems to help standardize, automate, and continue to enhance reporting and forecasting processes
  • Partner with the General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Vendor Management teams to contribute to the monthly close process and provide feedback to ensure postings are complete and accurate based on the latest input from the business
  • Assume a critical role in the annual budgeting and multi-year planning processes

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 7+ years of FP&A or Financial Reporting experience, preferably in an IT-focused role
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or similar discipline required; MBA preferred, but not required
  • Experience supporting, presenting to, and interacting with senior leadership
  • Experienced with financial reporting / planning systems (Oracle preferred)
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint capabilities required
  • Experience building dynamic excel models and converting data into consumable charts/visuals for senior leadership
  • Experience facilitating Forecasting, Budgeting and Multi-Year Planning efforts
  • Experience with IT accounting, capital expenditures, IDSW and project financial management preferred
  • Familiarity with financial dashboards and KPI reporting a plus
  • Experience in Investment Management, Global Financial Services or Professional Services is helpful, but not required
