IT Support Technician
Location: remote with 50-75% travel car and plane East coast area
permanent, $70,000 plus bonus UP TO 2 MONTHS SALARY

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for responding to email, chat, or phone queries and offering technical support to customers and employees using computer systems, hardware, and software.
Musts: Strong calibration skills background, ideally someone who already has technical support experience or Field Service Engineering. Must have strong calibration applications skills (Production environment). Must have calibration software experience. Must be organized and keep track of expenses and records in a timely manner.
Pluses: A degree in Tech related field. Calibration instrumentation skills, Experience in Highly regulated Environment like Power, Energy, Pharma, Medical Devices, Nuclear, etc. Calibration software: Maximo, blue Mountain, CMX, Pro-Cal, etc. Technical Support. Plus that has been a trainer previously.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists Tier 1 and Tier 2 helpdesk support for customers.
- Electrical Instrumentation Troubleshooting
- Instrumentation, electronics, pumps, sensors, (4-20 mA) calibrations, control systems, temperature sensors, flow sensors, etc.
- Metrology
- Installs and configures hardware and software.
- Sets up new accounts and workstations.
- Serves as first point of contact for employees and troubleshoot issues and outages.
- Provides technical support and repairs or replaces equipment as necessary.
- Identifies and suggests possible improvements on procedures.
- Assists project management.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by Technical Director or President.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong calibration skills background
- Electrical Instrumentation Troubleshooting
- Instrumentation, electronics, pumps, sensors, (4-20 mA) calibrations, control systems, temperature sensors, flow sensors, etc.
- Metrology
- Technical support experience or Field Service Engineering experience
- Must have strong calibration applications skills (Production environment). Must have calibration software experience.
- Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Dynamics CRM).
- Microsoft Windows XP/Vista, Windows Server 2000/2003/2008, Windows Mobile a plus.
- Database experience (SQL preferred).
- List & Label or Crystal Reports a plus.
- Calibration knowledge of Pressure, Electrical, Temperature instruments for Process Industries (Pharma, Power & Energy, Oil&Gas, etc..) a plus.
- Calibration Software namely ProCal, Emerson AMS, Blue Mountain, Compucal, Cornerstone, Maximo, etc..) a plus.
