Serves as a member of the Clemson Computing and Information Technology's hardware repair group. Provides computer and device repair, along with maintenance services for university departments, faculty, staff, and students. Performs other duties as assigned.
50% - Essential - Hardware and Software Maintenance: Maintains a current knowledge of personal computer diagnosis, repair procedures, and required parts. Complies with vendor's requirements for certificates, warranty claims, and parts ordering.
30% - Essential - Laptop Repair and Compliance: Serves as technician for the laptop and device repair team and ensures that all work is timely, accurate, and in compliance with departmental, project, and vendor standards. Acts as technical liaison to the various vendor's engineers.
10% - Essential - Research and Design: Maintains a current knowledge of computer facilities configuration, including software in use, network configuration, network protocols, and interconnect to the campus network.
10% - Essential - Reporting: Provides resource estimates and progress reports to manager.
A high school diploma and experience in information technology, electronics technology systems, or other related areas. An associate's degree or bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience.
Work Experience 1-3 years;
Licenses & Certifications: A+ Certification, Mac Service Certification, and Mac OS Certification
