Job Description

The Business Unit Coordinator will report to the Business Unit Coordinator Supervisor and will be responsible to perform duties relating to coordination of prototype and production tooling, including PPAP related tasks, while utilizing various computer software.

  • Coordinate the ordering and sampling of new materials and colors as required for new tools.
  • Coordinate shipments of special orders for prototype or pre-production vehicle builds.
  • Coordinate procurement, PPAP, and inspection of new purchased components for projects.
  • Generate part quotations/complete contract review for new and existing product.
  • Gain customer PPAP approval and invoice tooling
  • Coordinate the implementation of new production tools into their selected manufacturing location – including the internal documentation
  • Work with a designated core team at design review meetings for new part designs.
  • Implement Control Plans, Process Failure Mode and Effects, and Flow Diagram forms for PPAP submissions as required.
  • Knowledge of internal quality systems and customer specific requirements related to APQP, PPAP, FMEA, IMDS and TS16949.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and Commercial team to meet established timelines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks associated to new business.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned

  • Minimum 2 year associate degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Approximately two+ years of related sales/customer relations and/or manufacturing experience is required.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written, oral and interpersonal)
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize work with minimal direction
  • Ability to problem solve, along with excellent negotiation skills
  • Proven accuracy in work
