Social Media Manager 

Jai Kisan is eager to connect with new audiences through compelling social media initiatives. We’re seeking a social media manager to help us create and expand our digital footprint and oversee our social communications efforts. They will develop and implement informed content strategies tailored to the strengths of various social media platforms to increase brand awareness and affinity.

Objectives of this role

  • BuildCreate brand awareness, followership and financial literacyacquire followers with high-quality video content and social media initiatives
  • Align our brand with new and emerging trends 
  • Improve ROI through more consistently on-target messaging
  • Identify new channels to embed our brand that align our marketing direction
  • Glean insights from social data using monitoring tools

Responsibilities

  • Ideation and conceptualization of the Core messaging, Video content & distribution strategies 
  • Build a network of influencers to create and distribute the content
  • Scout the agencies and work with them to unlock a network of influencers in rural at scale
  • Use social media tools to craft and release content to our social channels
  • Collaborate with business and product teams to develop social media campaigns
  • Become an extension of the company’s brand to connect with existing customers, and acquire new ones
  • Analyze the company’s social strategy to make frequent improvement suggestions
  • Stay up to date with new and emerging trends to help keep Jai Kisan’s social media presence consistently relevant
  • Establish key performance indicators to understand efficacy of existing social campaigns and adjust strategy for further optimizations

Skills and qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing inhouse social media channels
  • Experience in creating regional content and understanding of cultural nuances/rural audience 
  • Extensive experience with Shortform/Longform video creation and strategy
  • Proven experience in planning and managing social media and influencer campaigns and distribution strategies
  • Extensive knowledge of a variety of current social media platforms
  • Strong multitasking capabilities under pressure
  • Clear, confident communication abilities
  • Effective time-management skills
  • Data and metric driven

Preferred qualifications

  • Significant experience leading a brand’s social media initiatives
  • Keen understanding of how to craft effective social media strategies
  • Experience working with influencer agencies
  • Content marketing experience for rural audience
  • Experience with social media tools
  • Capable with database query languages such as SQL
  • Large social media following
