As the most senior leader in France for media strategy, you will shape and drive strategic initiatives for our most important clients, while also playing an important role in securing new business through high-profile RFPs. This is a strategic leadership position, ideal for someone who excels at balancing big-picture thinking with deep, hands-on expertise in paid media. You will provide thought leadership, both internally and externally, while delivering insight-driven strategies that enhance brands and achieve results.

As a Senior Director, Media Strategy, you will own the strategic agenda for Jellyfish's clients, lead the strategic response for new business opportunities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft forward-thinking, integrated media solutions.

Qualifications

Your responsibilities will include:

 

Strategic Leadership for Clients:

  • Lead the strategic planning for Jellyfish's top-tier clients, overseeing the development of integrated paid media and digital communication strategies that solve complex brand challenges.
  • Develop holistic, data-driven strategies that go beyond digital, demonstrating an understanding of the entire marketing ecosystem, including offline channels, to offer a truly integrated perspective.
  • Be the strategic partner for senior client stakeholders, providing ongoing leadership and guidance to ensure we are achieving their business objectives and elevating their digital presence.

Business Development and RFPs:

  • Lead the strategic response to high-stakes RFPs, working with business development teams to create compelling proposals that demonstrate Jellyfish's value proposition and innovative media solutions.
  • You'll bring visionary thinking to pitch meetings, influencing and guiding prospective clients with insights on the evolving digital landscape and how Jellyfish can lead their transformation.

Insight-Driven Strategies:

  • Develop insightful, transformative strategies based on deep consumer understanding, category insights, and the latest research methodologies.
  • You'll work together with the market intelligence team to commission and analyse research (qualitative and quantitative), brand tracking, social listening, segmentation, and campaign analysis to ensure strategies are grounded in robust data.
  • Leverage advanced tools such as brand health tracking and campaign performance analysis to inform and refine strategy recommendations.

Collaboration and Thought Leadership:

  • You'll collaborate with media planning, creative, content, and data teams to provide a seamless and integrated approach that delivers on both strategic and business outcomes.
  • Inspire creativity by continuously monitoring market trends, audience behaviour and new opportunities across media, creative, and content, ensuring that Jellyfish remains a leader in digital-first solutions.
  • You'll serve as a strategic expert within Jellyfish Paris, actively participating in industry events and panels, and contributing to thought leadership pieces that position Jellyfish as a trusted advisor in the digital marketing landscape.

Performance Measurement and Optimisation:

  • Define appropriate performance measurement frameworks for campaigns, ensuring Indicators are aligned with client goals and establish processes for continuous optimisation and reporting.
  • Ensure that all strategic briefs are clear, consumer-focused, and actionable, with a focus on delivering measurable impact and aligning with broader team goals.

 

  • You will help establish both communication and engagement with prospects, while also engaging senior clients to discuss strategy, business, or brand goals. You'll excel at simplifying complex challenges.
  • Demonstrate your expertise in developing brand, digital marketing, and planning strategies, with a fluency in digital media planning.
  • Client-Centric – You excel at building deep client relationships, understanding their needs, and adding value to their business.
  • Analytics & Reporting – You have a talent for using data and market insights to inform strategic decisions and develop impactful business strategies.
  • Creative Problem Solving – You create unique ideas and are eager to experiment with new methods and technologies to solve complex issues.
  • Team Collaboration – You excel at working collaboratively with team members, valuing and respecting diverse contributions to achieve common goals.
  • Adaptability – You're experienced at adjusting strategies and plans to successfully navigate unforeseen circumstances.
  • You'll have approximately 8-12 years of experience in Media Strategy.
