Research Analyst, Heartland RegionThe Research Analyst will support the Heartland Region by leveraging data from various sources, including JLL, to evaluate market conditions and effectively communicate the commercial real estate narrative to our brokers, clients, and prospects. Your responsibilities will be to track and analyze the commercial real estate market with a focus on trend analysis, market presentation, and other research content creation. You will serve as an active member of a sales enablement team to contribute to strategic business development efforts. Collaboration with external research peers, brokerage experts, and local market clients, as well as JLL's Americas Research team, will be essential to your role.What this job involves:• Closely monitor the office, industrial, flex, and life science commercial real estate market, including data related to properties, leases, sales, tenants, availabilities, and development.• Develop comprehensive expertise in the local economy, including understanding the composition of jobs and industries, demographics, and the growth of companies within the market.• Communicate data excellence and insights via traditional reporting products and the use of advanced data visualization tools, including JLL’s proprietary technology.• Actively contribute to JLL’s internal data management system and adopt or discover new creative uses for its content and visualization tools.• Publish quarterly market reports on the office and industrial sectors in assigned market(s).• Contribute to client presentations by covering market intelligence, trends, and statistics.• Develop strong relationships with internal and external clients and facilitate the use of research as a differentiator including being personally client-facing and externally focused on new business efforts.• Keep track and inform brokerage leaders of local and national commercial real estate news.Sound like you? We are looking for:• Bachelor’s degree preferred and 2+ years professional experience desired, can be in economics, consulting, research, real estate, economic development, urban planning or other related fields• Demonstrated passion in real estate with a strong commitment to learning micro- and macro-level market dynamics• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Share Point, OneDrive, and Teams• Strong quantitative skillset with ability to identify new insights and trends through data analytics• Collaborative attitude and willingness to both work independently and as part of a dynamic team• Organized and proactive approach• Ability to multitask, be resilient and effectively manage time and workload• Effective written and oral communication skills• A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment• GIS experience is a bonus (MapIT, ArcGIS, etc.)
