We are growing, offer great benefits and a fun atmosphere!Job DetailsWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee our company's financial operations and guide its strategic growth. As a key member of the executive management team, the CFO will report to the CEO and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, property management, deal analysis, compliance, etc.Responsibilities• Provide leadership, direction, and management of the finance and accounting team.• Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting.• Advise on long-term business and financial planning.• Establish and develop relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders.• Review all formal finance, HR, and IT-related procedures.• Oversee the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.• Assure legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.• Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the company.• Supervise financial reporting and budgeting team.• Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports.• Present financial reports to the board of directors, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings.• Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.• Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.Qualifications• Proven executive experience in the construction industry• This role can be for a current CFO or a Director/ VP of FInance that is ready to move into a CFO role• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. CPA, CMA, or other related certification preferred.• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g., SAP).• Ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.• Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact with all levels.• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization, and with staff at remote locations essential.• Experience in a start-up or high-growth environment a plus.• Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.• Exceptional negotiation skills and experience with contracts.• Experience in compliance and transactional accounting is a must.Interested in hearing more?
