This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned financial professional who is ready to take their career to the next level. As a Permanent Controller, you will play a pivotal role in the financial management of our operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and inventory management. This position requires a hands-on leader with a strong understanding of the manufacturing sector and a proven track record in public accounting.Responsibilities• Oversee all financial operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk.• Develop and manage the company's annual budgeting process, incorporating business forecasts, financial goals, and market trends.• Ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or international financial reporting standards (IFRS).• Manage and monitor the company's inventory, ensuring accurate valuation and optimal utilization.• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and present them to senior management.• Coordinate with external auditors and manage the provision of information for the annual audit.• Ensure the company is in compliance with all internal policies and relevant regulations and ensure filings are completed in a timely manner.• Develop and implement financial management strategies, including risk management.• Lead and direct accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports.• Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.Qualifications• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.• Prior public accounting experience is strongly preferred.• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP).• Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).• Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to manage team members effectively.• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial data to senior management.• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and make sound financial decisions.• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.• High attention to detail and accuracy, with an ability to work well under pressure.If you are a driven, solution-oriented professional with the requisite skills and experience, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.Interested in hearing more?
