This role involves managing the preparation of financial statements, regulatory filings, budgeting, and financial analysis to support strategic goals. Additionally, the role includes managing HR duties such as payroll, employee onboarding, and exit tasks.Financial Management and ReportingOversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances to provide actionable insights.Regulatory Reporting and CompliancePrepare and review regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with all requirements.Stay updated on changes in regulations and advise management on implications.Coordinate and manage external audits and compliance efforts.Budgeting and ForecastingLead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop and manage budgets.Prepare financial forecasts and analyze budget variances.Implement and maintain budgeting and financial forecasting tools and systems.Internal Controls and Risk ManagementDevelop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.Identify and mitigate financial risks, implementing policies and procedures to prevent fraud and errors.Conduct regular assessments and audits of internal controls and processes.Financial Planning and AnalysisConduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning.Develop financial models to evaluate new business opportunities, investments, and other strategic initiatives.Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.Team Leadership and DevelopmentSupervise and mentor the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.Ensure the team is adequately trained and equipped to meet financial objectives.Promote collaboration and communication within the finance department and with other departments.Operational EfficiencyIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.Utilize technology and automation to streamline accounting and financial reporting processes.Monitor and manage cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to optimize working capitalInterested in hearing more?
