This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of family law matters. The successful candidate will have substantial experience in Matrimonial Law, Divorce, Custody, Mediation, Child Support, Prenuptial and Postnuptial agreements, Paternity, and Marital agreements. The position demands a high degree of autonomy, strategic thinking, and the ability to work under pressure.Responsibilities:• Represent clients in court proceedings or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in matrimonial and family law matters.• Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts related to family law matters.• Negotiate settlements of civil disputes concerning matrimonial and family law.• Conduct legal research and gather evidence on any relevant issues.• Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations in family law matters.• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.• Act as an agent, trustee, guardian, or executor for businesses or individuals.• Mediate disputes and guide clients through the legal process of divorce, custody, child support, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, paternity, and marital agreements.Qualifications:• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top accredited law school.• 3-7+ years of experience in family law with a strong background in matrimonial law, divorce, custody, mediation, child support, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, paternity, and marital agreements.• A Member in Good Standing of the New York State Bar.• Proven track record of representing clients in family law matters.• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to mediate disputes effectively.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.• High level of professionalism and ethical standards.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Interested in hearing more?
