We offer excellent benefits, great work/life balance, and competitive pay.Job DetailsSummary:As the Director of Marketing, you will spearhead a diverse range of marketing activities, employing strategic planning, transformative leadership, and expertise in traditional and digital marketing strategies within the gaming industry. Your responsibilities include aligning marketing efforts with the casino's goals, overseeing data analysis, actively managing and adapting marketing campaigns, and implementing strong leadership principles to ensure team alignment. A key focus is on utilizing analytics tools, fostering team dynamics, and collaborating across departments to drive the organization's marketing objectives and enhance profitability.Your primary objective is to lead and innovate in all marketing endeavors. This entails crafting and executing a comprehensive marketing plan, overseeing direct marketing campaigns, analyzing data for informed decision-making, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The role demands a harmonious blend of creative thinking, analytical skills, and leadership acumen to elevate the casino's brand and market presence, optimize financial returns, and fortify customer relationships.Key Accountabilities1. Strategic Planning:• Develop and execute an annual marketing plan encompassing market profiling, promotional planning, media planning, database marketing, and annual budget development.• Collaborate with other management to plan and execute activities ensuring casino and departmental objectives are met for revenue and income targets.• Oversee and maintain consistency in brand standards and the casino image.2. Program Execution and Enhancement:• Analyze and develop programs utilizing existing marketing information and processes; recommend potential uses of new processes to enhance program results.• Provide recommendations for revenue generation and cost reduction, evaluating the performance of database marketing initiatives for optimal re-investment rates and profit margins.• Introduce customer-specific initiatives to enhance guest relations and loyalty, incorporating marketing staff presence at conventions, trade associations, and relevant seminars.3. Digital and Social Media Marketing Expertise:• Develop and implement digital and social media marketing strategies, applying advanced knowledge of marketing concepts such as the marketing funnel, customer journey mapping, and pain/touch points.• Utilize awareness and consideration tactics to drive acquisition and retention, engaging in meaningful conversations with the audience.• Analyze and adapt strategies based on data-driven insights to maintain relevance in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.4. Database Marketing:• Master marketing analytics platforms including Aristocrat Gaming, nVision, Loyalty, Agilysis, and Infogenesis.• Leverage these tools to incorporate data-driven insights into strategic planning and decision-making, ensuring adaptability and responsiveness to market dynamics.• Knowledge of Sequal coding language is a plus.5. Branding and Local Presence:• Understand the importance of a strong company image in the local market.• Conduct activities considering both local impacts and new customer acquisition, maintaining a strong understanding of the local area, customs, attractions, and potential partnership opportunities.6. Leadership and Team Management:• Exhibit strong leadership skills, motivating and guiding the marketing team towards shared goals and missions.• Foster a collaborative and inspiring work environment encouraging innovation, accountability, and a unified approach to marketing objectives.7. Marketing Campaign Acumen:• Create direct marketing campaigns and monitor/modify as necessary to ensure maximum profitability.• Ensure marketing programs effectively reflect database segmentation as appropriate, addressing current and future products based on knowledge of market trends.8. Data Analysis:• Oversee and manage the player development function by effectively utilizing the player's club and data analysis tools to project promotional or program performance and analyze actual performance.• Regularly review player club activities, entertainment/special events, and overall marketing operations to evaluate and improve staffing levels, working conditions, and other factors influencing the quality of guest services and profitability.9. Performance Management:• Regularly monitor and analyze departmental performance for short- and long-term strategies.• Identify performance gaps, implement appropriate training interventions, and address variables to facilitate ongoing business performance improvement and financial return.• Assess operational strengths and weaknesses to implement changes for improved operations and resource allocation.• Prepare financial schedules exhibiting department performance for management as required.10. Regulation Knowledge and Application:• Maintain knowledge of all aspects of gaming activity and regulatory requirements, staying informed of the latest gaming regulations.• Work with regulatory authorities and internal control staff to ensure operational practice compliance.• Develop proper security measures to ensure the integrity of the operation and customer database information.11. Point-of-Contact:• Serve as the point-of-contact and UMCH representative for the marketing agency of record and other marketing third-party vendors.• Maintain relationships and use industry knowledge to effectively and efficiently utilize such tools, ensuring a strong return on investment.12. Teamwork and Collaboration:• Participate as a member of the GM Management team, offering an overall property management perspective on greater property issues and strategies.• Ensure management can make informed decisions based on all relevant dimensions of the organization.13. Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThe Director of Marketing leads the marketing team, including 3-6 direct reports, and manages both the Marketing Department and the Players Club. This role involves building a cohesive team, providing training, mentorship, and disciplinary guidance, and ensuring effective communication within the department. The Director coordinates daily operations, sets staff work plans, and evaluates marketing strategies for efficiency and effectiveness. Responsibilities include delegating tasks, maintaining staff morale, and ensuring a high level of performance. The Director also handles staffing decisions, from hiring to addressing employee concerns, ensuring fair and equitable treatment of all team members.Experience Required:• 10+ years of marketing/advertising management experience• Gaming industry experience preferredInterested in hearing more?
