This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a solid background in food processing, particularly meat protein processing. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of production management, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing and have hands-on experience in beef, chicken, or other protein processing. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.ResponsibilitiesAs a Permanent Production Manager, your primary responsibilities will include• Managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the production line, ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing processes.• Implementing and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.• Leading the implementation of lean manufacturing practices across all production processes.• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.• Overseeing the production of various proteins, including beef and chicken, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.• Coordinating with other departments such as Quality Control, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure smooth operations.• Training, mentoring, and developing production staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous learning.• Preparing and managing budgets, production schedules, and other administrative tasks.• Resolving production issues promptly and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.• Actively participating in strategic planning and decision-making with the senior management team.QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Production Manager in the Manufacturing Industry, preferably in food processing.• Proven experience in meat protein processing, particularly beef and chicken.• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in implementing lean manufacturing practices and driving continuous improvement initiatives.• Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.• Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving production issues.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various departments.• Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the food manufacturing industry.• Proficient in using various production management software and tools.• Relevant qualifications in Production Management, Business Administration, or related field will be highly regarded.If you are a driven individual with a passion for excellence and a desire to make a significant impact in the Manufacturing Industry, we would love to hear from you.
