This is an excellent opportunity to apply your accounting prowess and contribute to our thriving organization. As a Property Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting for a portfolio of properties. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger systems, reviewing and analyzing financial data, and preparing financial reports, budgets, and financial statements.Responsibilities• Manage all accounting operations for a portfolio of properties, including billing, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and record-keeping.• Utilize QuickBooks and Excel to maintain accurate financial records and reports.• Review and analyze financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational policies and standards.• Prepare comprehensive financial reports, statements, and budgets for review by senior management.• Collaborate with property management teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of property financials.• Assist in the development and implementation of systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.• Conduct regular ledger audits to ensure correct billing and collection.• Assist with year-end audits and tax return preparation.• Stay current with industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and maximum financial performance.Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.• A minimum of 2 years of experience in property accounting or a related role.• Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel.• Experience in billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Proactive problem-solving capabilities with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.• Knowledge of the Property Management industry and its regulations is a plus.If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for finance and real estate, we would love to hear from you.
