The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, including tax preparation, accounts receivable and payable, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, project management, forecasting, and business strategy. This role requires a strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles, the ability to prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, tax planning, compliance, and cash flow analysis.Why join us?401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceJob DetailsResponsibilities:• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.• Prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts.• Manage payroll functions ensuring efficient systems, process and controls.• Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.• Perform month-end activities and create monthly financial reports.• Prepare budgets and forecasts in collaboration with the executive team.• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues.• Ensure compliance with all internal processes.• Reconcile general ledger and bank statements.• Prepare and manage project budgets, billings, and cost controls.• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.• Analyze and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve systems and financial performance.• Perform financial analysis, reporting and management activities.Qualifications:• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the construction industry.• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including v-look ups, pivot tables.• Experience with QuickBooks Online ERP and AIA contracts.• Familiarity with G702 & G703.• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles.• Proven experience in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, tax preparation, and general ledger.• Excellent skills in business strategy, project management, and forecasting.• Proven ability to prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.• Experience in tax planning, compliance, cash flow analysis.• Ability to reconcile general ledger and bank statements.• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.• Commercial construction experience is highly desirable.• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• High attention to detail and accuracy.• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.Interested in hearing more?
