The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax accounting functions, including planning, compliance, and research. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate tax.Why join us?• Comprehensive medical/dental/vision insurance• 401k w/ employer contribution + match• Unlimited PTO• Paid holidays• Half-day Fridays Memorial Day through Labor Day• Paid parental leave• Student loan assistance• Adoption assistance• And much more!Job DetailsResponsibilities• Oversee and manage all corporate tax operations, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and international tax laws and regulations.• Prepare and review corporate income tax returns (Form 1120C) and other business-related filings.• Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.• Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state filings.• Conduct complex tax research and prepare documentation for ongoing tax projects.• Liaise with tax authorities and provide tax audit support.• Maintain and update the company’s tax database and prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reports.• Stay abreast of current developments in the tax area and provide suitable recommendations to mitigate tax risks.Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation is highly preferred.• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a tax role, with a focus on corporate tax.• Proficiency in tax software and databases, along with excellent analytical abilities.• Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations.• Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements.• Strong leadership and personnel management skills.• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, along with an ability to work in a team.• High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.Interested in hearing more?
