POSITION SUMMARY:
The Restaurant Server is responsible for identifying the needs of guests and accommodating to those needs, Serves the guests quickly and efficiently with complete knowledge of the food and beverage menu. Maintains their station in a clean and orderly manner throughout the shift.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Warmly greets and acknowledges guests upon arrival
- Cash handling including: Correctly and precisely calculates each guest check
- Properly Id’s all guests that are able to consume alcohol
- Properly ring guest orders through the POS system
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Work with a spirit of teamwork. Willingly accepts additional responsibilities and tasks. Communicate needs and ideas to management.
- Knowledgeable in the menu of food and beverage
- Follows all safety and sanitation policies
- Ability to suggestively sell and upsell.
- Ability to properly id guests that are of age to sell alcoholic beverages to
- Performs sidework as needed
- Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by a manager at any time

- Weekend availability. Schedule for this position is not set. Must be able to flex schedule based on business demands.

WORK CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS / MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED
There is constant physical contact with food. Washing hands and arms is mandatory. General hygiene such as brushing teeth, daily shower, and deodorant is mandatory. - Ability to stand, walk and or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances within the building.
The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as gloves. Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional restaurant equipment as found in a typical restaurant environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
This position requires relevant and successful experience, especially in Rooms Division and customer service arena. Expertise gained working in a service and quality centric environment is preferred and considered an asset.
LANGUAGE AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to understand guests’ service needs and requests.
- Ability to acknowledge the guests’ request with a polite answer.
- Must be able to satisfactorily communicate English with guests, management, and other team members to their understanding.
- Additional foreign language preferred.
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
