About the Company: Our client is a leading manufacturer of battery chargers, known for innovative and high-quality products. They are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Specialist to join their dynamic team and support the procurement needs of the company.


Job Description:


Responsibilities:



  • Procurement Management: Manage the procurement process for raw materials, components, and finished goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing.

  • Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, prices, and terms of service.

  • Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production and warehouse teams to ensure optimal stock levels.

  • Purchase Orders: Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, assess market trends, and obtain the best possible pricing and quality.

  • Cost Analysis: Analyze and evaluate procurement costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with industry standards and company policies, including ethical sourcing and sustainability practices.

  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and inventory status.

  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues related to procurement, such as delays, shortages, or quality problems.

  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.


Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

  • Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. Attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of supply chain management and procurement best practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Certifications: Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is a plus.
