Employment Dates:
Monday, June 09, 2025 - Friday, July 18, 2025.  
(No School  - June 19th, July 3rd, and July 4th)

Hours:
5 hours/day (7:30am-12:30pm); 5 days/week (M-F). 
Staff hours may be adjusted slightly after the program starts based on student enrollment.


General Purpose of Job:   The OALC Summer Credit Recovery Program is looking for  an ESP who has diverse skills.  Candidates must possess strong clerical skills, be comfortable answering phones and use Synergy for student attendance tracking.  In addition, candidates must have a positive attitude, be willing to work as part of a team, and be flexible with their daily assignments.
 
Responsibilities:
 The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following fundamental job duties:

 
  1. Answer phone calls with questions/concerns pertaining to the OALC Summer Credit Recovery Program.  Refer student/family calls to appropriate source as needed.
  2. Serve as the summer program attendance clerk.  (i.e. answering phone calls, recording absences, maintaining attendance databases, and working with teacher on attendance reporting)
  3. Provide assistance to the summer program coordinator on various tasks as needed.
 

Required Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent.  Vocational training in secretarial office procedures desirable.  Work experience in a related area withing an educational system.

Desired Qualifications:

 
  • Extensive secretarial/clerical skills including word processing/data entry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skills in developing and maintaining computerized record systems.
  • Knowledge of district policies as they affect the OALC Summer Credit Recovery Program.
  • Organized and capable of carrying out multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of the materials and information disseminated daily.
  • Accurate and detail oriented.
Salary: ESP Class 1 rate of pay
