About the Team

Content marketing at JumpCloud is a relatively new practice built upon a successful long-term program that focused on developing world-class content at scale. Now, Content marketing is transforming the way JumpCloud thinks about creating content, leveraging new analytics to inform new editorial planning, and investing in a wider, more diverse set of distribution channels to ensure our voice is heard everywhere and has the down-funnel impact we need.

What you’ll be doing

As a Marketing Writer, you will put your writing skills to the max to ensure that critical assets are well positioned to our messaging, clear and concise, interesting and engaging, and speak to the target audience directly. Your work will be measured against its ability to drive awareness, engagement, and interest, how effective it is at creating new leads, and how well it can accelerate their journey through the marketing funnel. You’ll need to think critically and creatively about how to distill the major themes we cover across a variety of channels, including the blog, community, and email, as well as through different content types like short and form blogs, designed downloadable content, video, and more. 

• Produce written content in a variety of formats, including blogs, community posts, long form designed content (ebooks), video scripts, and more.
• Review, copyedit, and ensure quality and accuracy for content produced by members of marketing and beyond.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends aligned with our thought leadership platform, in order to propose topical and timely additions to our content areas.
• Repurpose long form content (technical and solutions-based) into shorter, “bite-sized” pieces with the intention to promote downloads and increase engagement.
• Manage multiple writing assignments simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively to meet the needs of all stakeholders.
• Continuously evaluate and improve writing skills to drive more from your contributions.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of relevant marketing writer experience.
• Proficiency in writing and editing tools such as Google Docs, and desired experience with writing support tools like HemingwayApp.
• Understanding of web publishing requirements.
• Understanding of effective content structures and story-telling frameworks.
• Ability to predict audience preferences with an editorial mindset.
• Experience with SEO best practices is a plus.

Where you’ll be working/Location:

JumpCloud is committed to being Remote First, meaning that you are able to work remotely within the country noted in the Job Description.

This role is remote in the country of India. You must be located in and authorized to work in India to be considered for this role.

Language:

JumpCloud® has teams in 15+ countries around the world and conducts our internal business in English. The interview and any additional screening process will take place primarily in English. To be considered for a role at JumpCloud®, you will be required to speak and write in English fluently.  Any additional language requirements will be included in the details of the job description.
