Weber Shandwick is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Junior Associate for its New York office who wants to be part of a dedicated and engaged team that creates smart marketing and communications solutions for clients. Responsibilities
Media and Writing

• Brainstorm and pitch compelling ideas for media and influencer pitch efforts
• Draft media relations materials including media lists and qualify media inquires
• Develop deep knowledge of industry events and conduct outreach for client speaker's bureau
• Proof and edit client related documents as needed
• Contribute to the development of strategic client plans

Client and Team Engagement

• Serve as key team member and engage in client / team meetings and brainstorms
• Proactively generate new ideas and opportunities to ensure client program success
• Provide thoughts and suggestions on tactical matters, linked to strategic plans

Administrative Support

• Track brands in traditional and social media and report results
• Assist in event coordination and logistics
• Track/enter time with precision and on a day-to-day basis
• Perform other administrative tasks as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Related professional experience, PR agency preferred
• Available to work full-time, 40 hrs/week
• Interest in innovative service & technology

Additional Qualifications:

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong time management skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with Cision and other PR tools
• Results-oriented
• Team player
• Self-starter who accepts "ownership" of their own work but can also take direction

NYC Salary range: $42,000 - $42,000
