PURPOSE
This role is two-pronged — working in new business/marketing on pitch design needs and working in creative as a primary brand (McKinney specific) designer. As a part of the design team, this role will be a go-to agency resource for presentation design and McKinney brand standards, work on various projects, and help create captivating, visual stories through decks and other key touchpoints.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Presentation Design // Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to produce high quality creative and effective presentations and deliverables for the agency, prospects, and clients on time in a fast-paced environment
Create presentation artwork including data visualizations, iconography, and infographics and help transform dense, data-rich slides into a visual story.
Design custom presentation templates for client and internal teams
Be a go-to agency expert in presentation/marketing design and presentation applications (i.e., Google Slides)
Assist with internal agency brand and presentation training
McKinney Brand Work // Design a wide variety of deliverables across different formats and be a go-to resource for McKinney-specific/branded projects (i.e., social media posts, letterhead/business cards, office signage, specific department projects, etc.)
Collaborate with the content creation team to produce graphics for McKinney social media platforms and website
In collaboration with the Marketing department, help maintain the agency credentials/case study libraries and RFP workflow
New Business/Marketing Design // Collaborate with other designers, the marketing team and senior leadership to create stunning, in brand visuals for all steps of a pitch (i.e., RFP to work sessions to final pitches), primarily pitch presentations.
Additionally, assist with other aspects of pitch design including but not limited to print collateral (i.e., boards, large format posters, name cards) and “pitch theatre” (i.e., experiential design, specialty creative projects)

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Strong design eye with an ability to take very complex ideas and turn them into a visually stunning, easily digestible story. Advanced long-form document, presentation design, and layout, and typography expertise. Brand design and development experience. Work well under pressure, be attentive to detail, and have excellent time management, and communication skills. Professional demeanor to effectively engage with senior leaders.
Individual should have knowledge and experience in Google Slides, as that will be the primary design platform. Samples of Google Slides designs are encouraged. Applicant should demonstrate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign), and other presentation programs — such as PowerPoint, and Keynote. Also a proficiency in Acrobat, graphic file formats, and optimization for different platforms (print, web, mobile, etc.) A strong portfolio that demonstrates originality, creativity, and innovative and effective design. Brand development + presentation examples are a plus.
EXPERIENCE
1-2 years of experience producing presentations and collateral at a creative agency; agency experience working with a range of industries is a plus.
