The Junior Designer, while working under the direct supervision of a more senior Designer or Project Manager, performs a broad variety of drafting and/or design tasks. Responsibilities include:Work with design team to develop design ideasMay assist senior designers in selecting fixtures and finishesUnder supervision, develops preliminary space plansAssist and learn detailingAssist and learn the production of furniture & finish packages, along with cost estimatingAssists senior staff with verification of site details to support designAssists in field surveying of client spacesCorrects drawings red lined by othersSupports the team in collecting information for client assessment; may attend interviews, provide documentation support; developing skills working with Affinity program toolQualifications:Graduate of an architecture school preferred: equivalent experience may be substituted1+ year experience or equivalent educational experience: strongly prefer experience working in corporate interior design projectsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Working knowledge of the application of color, materials and aesthetic formFamiliarity with space planning methodologyFamiliarity with furnishings and equipmentBasic sketching and rendering skillsBasic interior architecture detailing skillsWorking knowledge of CDs and proceduresCommitment to support projects through peaks and valleysIntermediate MS Office Suite skillsBasic Adobe Creative Suite skillsBasic verbal and written communication skillsPlease submit a portfolio or work examples with your applicationEmployment Type: Full Time Regular
