Job Description:

Summary:

· The main function of a mechanical engineer is to research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes. A typical mechanical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings and read and interpret blueprints.

Job Responsibilities:

· Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices.

· Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.

· Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment or software.

Skills:

· Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.

· Team player and detail oriented.

· Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.

· Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).

Education/Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in engineering required.

· 0-2 years’ experience required.

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

· Analyze data, initiate, launch & deliver profit improvement projects that will contribute to Client's OPACC-C goals.

Typical task breakdown:

· Analyzing cost, price, engineering, aftermarket and purchasing data to determine if a set of parts have the best margins, discerning if cost, price or process changes should be pursued.

· Support major aftermarket component categorization, rationalization and launch profit improvement projects that will

· Identify ideas and provide input for the development of tools and processes to enhance profit improvement analysis.

Interaction with team:

· closely working with CSPI team locally, remotely and other resources.

· Actively participate in multi-disciplinary team(s).

· Collaborate with Component Engineers, Pricing Analysts, and Purchasing.

Work environment:

· Diverse, utilizes facts to initiate improvements, goal oriented, continuously improving, collaborative, allows entrepreneurship when delivering results.

· Minimum Tu-Th On Site, remained remote, AWS potential (44/36hrs Alternating Fridays off).

Education & Experience Required:

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in an accredited Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar field

· 0 to 2 technical related experience; Internships or School Projects can count for this.

Technical Skills

(Required)

· Basic mechanical aptitude - basic electrical and hydraulic component knowledge.

· Demonstrated analytical skills that can identify data relationships, trends and outliers.

· Skilled in use of Microsoft Excel.

· Client engineering, purchasing, business resources or pricing system experience.

· Proven team collaboration and interpersonal skills.

· the ability to learn quickly and be a positive agent for change.

· Self-starter with strong technical skills.

· Ability to develop good working relationships with others across the organization.

Disqualifiers/Red Flags:

· Does not collaborate, does not deliver results, cannot adapt, Not Technically Capable (basic Analysis, Excel, Mechanical).

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour
