Responsibilities & Qualifications:
RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Provide RF wireless engineering to clients. This includes a basic understanding of RF transmissions, mapping and surveying, configuration of access points, antennas and related equipment, cabling infrastructure to support WLAN systems, client wireless configurations, operations and troubleshooting.

Conduct wireless site surveys utilizing spectrum analysis technologies, recommend and implement corrective action

Configuration of Wireless Security Platforms, including intrusion prevention and clean access solutions

Provide detailed network drawings and diagrams and relation as-built documentation
-
Perform wireless site surveys, conduct site evaluations and generate Heat Maps utilizing Ekahau Survey Pro and/or AirMagnet Survey
-
Configuration of both autonomous and Light Weight Access Point Solutions, including Clean Air, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, MESH, RFID, and RTLS

Provide detailed network drawings and diagrams and relation as-built documentation

Experience with wireless survey tools (Ekahau Pro or AirMagnet)

Familiarity with Cisco access points and antenna options
-
Familiarity with wireless survey methodologies for hospital, office, factory, warehouse, outdoor, and mesh designs
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
-
1 year plus experience using Ekahau Survey Pro 10 to design predictive and AP on a Stick designs
-
6 months - 3 years’ experience in enterprise network design or support

6 months - 3 years of Cisco wireless infrastructure support in a large company environment
-
Experience with Cisco wireless solutions including, 3504, 5520, 9800 WLCs
-
Must have or be able to pass the Veterans Administration Background Investigation
-
Must be able to pass a drug screening
-
Must complete and pass two stage TB testing

Must have a valid state driver’s license and proof of insurance
-
Must be at least 21 years of age
-
Must reside within the continental United States
-
Position is 100% nationwide travel – candidate must be within commuting distance to a regional or international airport

Must be willing and able to travel via plane to CONUS and OCONUS locations
