Product Management Master's Intern job at Kaiser Permanente. San Diego, CA.2024 Summer InternshipLocation:This role is scheduled to be 100% remote. While remote, finalists MUST reside in one of the following states to be eligible for employment with Kaiser Permanente: CA, OR, WA, HI, CO, GA, MD, VA, CT, DC, or IL.Department Description:The National Product Design and Management (NPDM) department optimizes our health plan product and capability portfolio in support of Kaiser Permanente’s overarching growth and retention business objectives. The National Product Design and Management team drives the vision, strategy, design, and execution of Kaiser Permanente’s product suite across the end-to-end product development and management life-cycle. We are structured in a way to support national and regional product and capability needs utilizing common tools and analytic models to ensure consistent and effective work.Within NPDM, our Financial Arrangements team oversees Consumer-Directed Health Care (CDHC) and Alternative Funding. We support an integrative administrative solution for a suite of HRA, HSA, and FSA products. We call these our Kaiser Permanente Health Payment Accounts. These accounts can be combined with a variety of KP health plans to create an integrated CDHC solution. Additionally, Alternative Funding (Self-Funding, Risk Sharing Arrangements, Level-Funded, and Stop-Loss) arrangements are for customers who are looking to take on risk, improve their employees' health, and reduce costs.Internship Project(s):One aspect of this internship will include CDHC product data analytics and storage. This includes data collection from the WEX Administrative Portal that can be compiled and layered to analyze trends around portal utilization, mobile app utilization, HSA identity verification success/failure rate, fund utilization, employer file upload frequency/delays/errors, setup fee to setup cost comparisons, etc.Another aspect is Product training. Where you will develop and coordinate national/regional product trainings ranging from self-funding, Risk Sharing Arrangements (RSA), and CDHC refresh learnings to identifying a broader approach NPDM can use to inform and empower Sales & Account Management through effective communication and the availability of shared resources.Additionally, this internship will include Self-Funded (SF) Strategy work.
