Kaizen Labs is looking for an experienced Events and Partnerships Manager to join our team in New York City. This role requires a proactive and dedicated individual working closely with our business operations team to execute events and conferences across local, county, and state associations and agencies. The Events and Partnerships Manager will be responsible for ensuring seamless conference and events logistics and building trusted relationships with partners.
This is a hybrid role based out of our New York City HQ. The candidate must reside in New York or be able to commute to New York City to work out of our office 3x a week (T/W/Th).
Travel for events is anticipated to be a 10-20% commitment. The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel as necessary to meet with partners and attend events.
Event Planning & Logistics: Lead end-to-end event planning for large-scale conferences, events, and webinars, managing multiple events per week with a focus on seamless execution - roughly 100 events per year. You will also have the opportunity to brainstorm, coordinate, and budget for self-generated events, conferences, and webinars.
Partnership / Sponsorship Management: Secure and maintain parks and recreation association partnerships and event sponsorships. You will conduct thoughtful outreach to external stakeholders, effectively communicate Kaizen’s value proposition, serve as a day-to-day point of contact to drive sponsorship execution, and build/maintain trusted relationships.
Teamwork & Collaboration: Work closely with the business operations team to identify high-priority sponsorship opportunities across local, county, and state associations/agencies for tradeshows, sponsorships, events, and webinars.
Budgeting & Sponsorship: Oversee event budgets and vendor negotiations. Secure sponsorships, ensuring cost-efficiency and high ROI.
Problem-Solving: Manage unexpected event challenges with quick, effective solutions to ensure the seamless delivery of events. This role will include a large number of competing priorities and overlapping projects/events.
Organization & Attention to Detail: Maintain organization to ensure smooth and efficient event execution. Regularly update and maintain our sales CRM.

Successful track record in prior Events and Partnerships, Logistics, Field Marketing roles or similar
2-4+ years of experience, preferably in a B2G / B2C technology and SaaS startups
Proficiency with tools like Salesforce, Hubspot, swag management, and calendar management software
