This role will report to our Director of Security Research & Pentest Automation.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead the design and implementation of the backend framework using Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq, and RabbitMQ.Collaborate with the research and penetration testing team on new tools and strategies for expanding the framework.Identify and implement improvements to enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of the backend framework.Ensure proper documentation of the framework, including code comments and technical specifications.Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and enforce Ruby on Rails coding standards.Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq, and RabbitMQ to incorporate new features and optimize existing functionalities.Mentor and guide junior backend engineers.QualificationsAt least 5 years of experience in Ruby on Rails development, with a deep understanding of the framework's principles, conventions, and best practices.Proficiency in Git, including experience with branching, merging, and managing code repositories.Must be able to use Linux without any assistance.Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and object-oriented programming.Ability to adapt and learn new creative ways to solve inefficiencies through automation.Understanding of networking protocols and terminology.Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.Possess a level of experience with penetration testing (e.g., junior-level certifications, experience, etc.) or desire to learn.Proficiency in working with Sidekiq and RabbitMQ for background processing and messaging.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to debug and resolve complex issues.Knowledge of containerization technologies.At Kaseya, we work with organizations of all sizes to deliver real business value by:Validating security vulnerabilities with the industry’s golden standard: network penetration testing.Making offensive security more affordable with automationOffering internal and external network penetration testing on a continuous basis without all the headaches, just a few clicks.Join the Kaseya growth rocket ship and see how we are #ChangingLives !Additional informationKaseya provides equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants without regard to race, religion, age, ancestry, gender, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, veteran status, marital status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law
