Process personnel actions relating to service records for all district employees and verify employment for student loan forgiveness programs.Major Duties and Responsibilities:• Create Personnel Actions for new hires requiring salary adjustments based on incoming service records.• Leave Accrual adjustments on all terminations and incoming service records.• Create service records/years of service for new hires.• Assist with annual service record/years of service update.• Verification of service records on all terminations.• Responsible for receiving and processing all service record requests for current and former Katy ISD employees.• Verification of employment for Public Servant Loan Forgiveness, Teacher Loan Forgiveness, and all other student loan forgiveness programs.• Back up the Sr. Compensation Specialist with submitting the monthly New Hire report• Maintain service record email box along with the Sr. Compensation Specialist• Assist Sr. Compensation Specialist with accumulated leave for retirees.• Other duties as assigned.Equipment Used:Personal computer, printer, copier, calculator, and fax machine.Working Conditions:Maintain emotional control under stress. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Prolonged use of the computer.
